Staff Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule

Shift hours: 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM, four 9-hour shifts per week. Weekend call is required one day on either Saturday or Sunday every six weeks, along with 4-5 night calls during the same six-week schedule.

Job Description

The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and supervising individual patient care using the nursing process. This role involves taking responsibility for the direction of co-workers and delegating appropriate tasks in the implementation of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients according to the nursing process.
• Provide quality care based on assessment needs and established plans of care.
• Educate patients and their families from admission through the discharge process.
• Document the nursing process/pathway accurately, thoroughly, and legibly.
• Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately.
• Implement physician orders as prescribed.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available for patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Completion of an accredited nursing program leading to a Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio.
• CPR certification required.
• Previous Registered Nursing experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills.
