12-hour day shifts, 7A-7P, with a commitment of 36 guaranteed hours weekly.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care in the Acute Neuro - Medical Surgical unit, managing 7 additional overflow beds. The position requires a proactive approach to patient care, working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care to individuals with neurological and medical conditions.
- Administer medications and treatment as per physician orders.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and responding appropriately.
- Coordinate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Medical Surgical unit, specifically in a neuro specialty.
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification is mandatory.
