Charge RN - Adaptive Acuity Unit

This position is for a 12-hour night shift, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a 36-hour guarantee.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Charge RN to join our Adaptive Acuity Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, often requiring progressive care unit (PCU) experience. This position will involve a mix of standard nursing duties along with charge responsibilities. Please note that the care may include a 3:1 patient-nurse ratio in PCU settings, which is a non-negotiable aspect of this role. Previous experience with insulin, emolol, and sodium drips is a must.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in an Adaptive Acuity Unit
• Manage and administer medications, including IV drips
• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate care as a Charge RN
• Float to any inpatient unit within the nursing scope of practice as needed

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of current medical-surgical/telemetry experience
• Charge RN experience is required
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience is strongly preferred
• Experience with intravenous drips is required
• Minimum of 3 months previous travel experience is required
• Vermont RN License or Compact must be included in profile
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification
