Shifts are scheduled as follows:
- Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
Note that shifts may vary to meet the operational needs of the hospital.
Job Description
We are seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN to provide compassionate care to patients at our Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. The RN will have the potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED, caring for a similar patient population.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a telemetry setting.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to meet patient needs.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- MUST have 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing.
- MUST have active Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand at time of submission.
- American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification are required.
- Traveler must work at least every other holiday.
- Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
