Schedule

19:00 - 07:00, with 3 shifts per week, including 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.

Job Description

The NICU is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to critically ill infants. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing care for patients requiring ventilator support and stabilization.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn resuscitation and intubation.
• Administer surfactant and manage umbilical line placements.
• Conduct assessments and identify symptoms of declining health in preterm infants.
• Stabilize critically ill infants needing advanced interventions, including CPAP and TPN administration.
• Collaborate with the nursing team and neonatologists to provide compassionate care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN licensure in Virginia.
• Certification in BLS and NRP.
• Experience with IV insertion in preterm or term infants.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of symptoms associated with infants’ declining health.
