Outpatient Physical Therapist - 6 Month Contract

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Outpatient Physical Therapist for a 6-month contract position. In this role, you will evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to the patients’ needs, goals, and physician direction. You will be responsible for delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs to facilitate an effective return to community activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear and timely manner, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Participate in student training programs, providing supervision and developing learning objectives.
• Create an individual professional development plan and pursue continuing education opportunities.
• Adhere to all state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Follow organizational performance improvement initiatives to enhance quality of services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience is required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Maintaining professional licensure and completing state-mandated continuing education requirements.

Schedule

This position follows a 5-day, 8-hour work schedule with patient evaluations lasting 60 minutes and follow-ups scheduled every 30 minutes.
