Schedule

Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers, directs, and supervises OT treatment in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines. This role embraces the core values of delivering superior quality, treating others as they would like to be treated, being results-oriented, and being a resourceful team player committed to patient and employee safety.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient’s level of functioning upon physician orders and plan appropriate treatment based on assessment.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team processes and discharge planning, including placement and patient/family education.
  • Document thoroughly according to department policies and procedures.
  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students, ensuring effective application of OT techniques.
  • Promote patient and employee safety through awareness of safe practices in handling materials and in the work environment.
  • Complete evaluations and treatment plans based on patient diagnoses and goals collaboratively established with patients and families.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives, documenting implementation and outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Must hold a valid, current state license.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
