Schedule
This is a full-time night shift position, working from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. The schedule includes rotating weekends and holidays as needed.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neuro Unit, which consists of 20 beds, including both floor and step-down care. You will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with neurological disorders, including post-operative spinal cases, strokes, and seizures.
Responsibilities
- Assess and manage patient care in a fast-paced neuro environment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to formulate and implement effective care plans.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses, adhering to protocols.
- Educate patients and families about neurological conditions and treatments.
- Participate in discharge planning and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Supervise nursing aides and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- A valid RN license.
- BLS certification is required; ACLS and NIHSS certifications are preferred.
- Previous experience in neuro nursing is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
