Registered Nurse - MS/Tele-ER Border

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12 hours (07:30 - 20:00). Every other weekend and holidays required as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Registered Nurse for our MS/Tele-ER Border unit. This role involves providing patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency setting. The nurse will manage patients transitioning between emergency and medical/surgical levels of care, addressing a wide variety of complex diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to a minimum of 10, up to 40 patients daily.
• Monitor and manage patients in a border role, ensuring expedient and efficient care.
• Float between ED borders, extenders to MS/T, and IMC units as needed.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assess patient conditions.
• Implement protocols for various medical interventions and respond to emergencies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of nursing experience required; previous charge experience preferred.
• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Travel experience required; familiarity with community hospital settings preferred.
