Job Description
We are seeking a highly qualified Registered Nurse with experience in adult medical oncology, including specialties in GI, GU, breast, head and neck, neuro, thoracic, lymphoma, and leukemia. The RN will also assist in GYN oncology and classic hematology procedures. Responsibilities will include conducting bone marrow biopsies in clinic as well as performing paps, biopsies, colposcopies, and pelvic exams in GYN oncology.
Responsibilities
- Perform bone marrow biopsies and various GYN oncological procedures.
- Administer intravenous medications, including neupogen and hormonal therapies.
- Manage and care for patients with central lines and ports, including blood draws and flushes.
- Provide patient and family education and support regarding treatments and procedures.
- Document patient information using the Epic charting system.
- Implement patient care plans, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in adult medical oncology.
- Current, active NJ or Compact RN license required at the time of submission.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
