Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient’s needs, goals, and physician direction. This role involves the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients and ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that foster effective return to community activities. The therapist will serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers while demonstrating behaviors and attitudes consistent with the organization’s Mission Statement and Core Values.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans focused on maximizing recovery.
  • Document medical records clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Participate in student programs by providing supervision and a positive learning environment for students.
  • Create and pursue a personalized professional development plan and engage in professional activities for growth.
  • Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the organization and provide feedback to enhance patient care and service delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
  • CPR Certification.

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a typical 5x8 work schedule.
