Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Echo Sonographer traveler to assist our Cardiology Team at our main campus. The Echo Tech will deliver direct and indirect patient care in the hospital/office setting under the supervision of the Practice Providers, Cardiology Director, Lead Echo Tech, and Practice Manager. Responsibilities include preparing patients and diagnostic equipment, obtaining high-quality imaging, assisting physicians in interpreting data, and ensuring proper record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide care according to established protocols and demonstrate clinical competence in all modalities within echocardiography.
• Educate patients and caregivers while advocating for patients in the delivery and coordination of care.
• Maintain knowledge and competency in echocardiography as set forth by credentialing organizations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance patient experiences.
• Demonstrate competence in equipment and technology performance, patient monitoring, and archiving studies.
• Organize exam rooms and assist with the upkeep of office operations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and support staff on patient needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Proficient in all imaging modalities of Adult Echocardiography including Transthoracic Echo, Stress Echo, and Transesophageal Echo (TEE).
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer through ARDMS or CCI (R.D.C.S. or R.C.S.) preferred; registry required within 1 year of employment.
• Current BLS certification (or to obtain within preliminary employment period) and competency in infection control and safety protocols.
