Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the ICU provides high-quality patient care in a critical care setting. This role involves working with advanced medical equipment and managing complex patient care needs while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor patients in the ICU, providing comprehensive care based on their needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to create and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct assessments, administer medications, and perform advanced procedures such as intubations and central line placements.
- Utilize critical care equipment and technology effectively during patient care.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience in an ICU setting.
- Active RN license for Texas. (Temporary license will not be accepted.)
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- CCRN certification is preferred.
- Experience with Meditech is preferred.
