Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM, with every other weekend required.
Job Description
The Postpartum / Newborn Nursery RN will provide care to mothers and newborns following childbirth. The role requires a skilled and compassionate nurse with experience in managing high-risk antepartum patients as well as handling various postpartum recovery situations.
Responsibilities
- Administer nursing care to postpartum patients and newborns.
- Monitor and assess patient condition in both postpartum and nursery settings.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care.
- Perform IV placements and other relevant procedures as needed.
- Document patient care in the Meditech system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Active TX RN license (temp license will not be accepted).
- 2+ years of hospital experience.
- BLS certification.
- Experience in Antepartum care and Newborn Nursery care.
