Outpatient Physical Therapist

This position is for a 5x8.0 schedule starting October 19th.

Assignment Duration

This is a 6-month contract position.

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans based on individual needs, goals, and physician direction. The therapist will oversee all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients and ensure the design of effective treatment programs to facilitate a successful return to community activities. This role includes serving as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans and goals.
• Document patient care clearly, accurately, and timely.
• Provide care under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance guidelines.
• Participate in student programs by providing supervision and evaluations.
• Create and pursue an individualized professional development plan.
• Adhere to the State Practice Act and maintain licensure in good standing.
• Understand and follow through with organizational performance improvement methodologies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR certification is required.
• 6-month contract desire is highly desired.
