Outpatient Physical Therapist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday to Thursday: 8 AM to 7 PM; Friday: 8 AM to 1 PM

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans based on individual needs, goals, and physician directives. The therapist will ensure patients receive functional treatment programs that facilitate effective community reintegration. The role includes educating patients, families, students, and coworkers and participating in the enhancement of therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients to create appropriate treatment plans focused on timely patient progress.
• Document medical records accurately and in a timely manner, following all compliance guidelines.
• Ensure patient care conforms to signed physician orders and remains within insurance approval limits.
• Engage with student programs by supervising and evaluating student performance while fostering a positive learning environment.
• Develop and pursue personal professional growth through ongoing education and involvement in relevant organizations.
• Maintain regulatory compliance by adhering to state practice acts and continuing education requirements.
• Understand and implement performance improvement methodologies to enhance service quality and patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active physical therapy license for the state in which the work will be performed.
• Previous experience with Select Medical is preferred but not required.
