Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team, embracing our core values of delivering superior quality and treating others with respect. In this role, you will prioritize patient and employee safety, contributing to an environment where safe practices are paramount. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to establish individualized care plans.
- Identify teaching needs and goals based on nursing assessments and collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in line with policy and ensure timely communication of patient status.
- Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, utilizing the nursing process effectively to provide direct patient care.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
- Communicate changes in patient status to care team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide guidance and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel while supporting a collaborative team environment.
- Maintain safety and compliance in personal and environmental practices according to hospital policies.
- Engage in professional growth and continuing education opportunities.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current RN license required.
- BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
- ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (specific to CIRH ONLY).
- Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred.
Schedule
This is a night shift position with a schedule of 4 days per week, 12 hours each shift, including every other weekend and holiday.
