This is a 12-week contract position.
Schedule
3x12 hour night shifts from 20:00 to 08:30, with every other weekend required and holidays as scheduled.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled MS/Tele Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients during night shifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and the ability to manage a diverse patient population effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical/telemetry setting
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition
- Assist with diagnostic tests and patient education
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Manage patient caseload effectively with a ratio of 1:5
- Float to specialty sister units and lower acuity areas as needed
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a similar role
- Active RN license in the state of Maryland or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory
- Experience with charting system Epic is required
- Travel experience is required
