Registered Nurse - MS/Tele-ER - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night 3x12-Hour shifts (19:30 - 08:00) with every other weekend and holiday coverage required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting at the MS/Tele-ER border, providing care to a diverse population of patients. This role involves managing complex ED admissions and providing care for both medical and telemetry patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a border role between the Emergency Department and Medical/Surgical units.
• Monitor and manage a patient load with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Float between ED borders and other units as needed, within specialty and scope.
• Administer medications, including blood products and chemotherapy, as required.
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, and ventilated patients.
• Conduct telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Provide care for patients with a wide variety of diagnoses.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN MD state license or Compact License required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in a community hospital or LTAC setting is preferred.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred.
