This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating shifts with a combination of 2 - 12 hour shifts and 2 - 8 hour shifts, including occasional weekends and holidays. 12 hour shifts from 6:30 AM - 7 PM or 9 AM - 9:30 PM, and 8 hour shifts from 6:30 AM - 3 PM, or starting as late as 2:30 PM. Travelers will be expected to take call as required, totaling 20-30 hours of standby call in a 4-week period.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in Orthopedic surgery to join our Operating Room team. As a Level I Trauma Center, our facility is dedicated to providing the highest quality care across a large volume of outpatient cases. The ideal candidate will have the ability to circulate independently and take call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Circulate cases independently in the Operating Room.
• Monitor patient vital signs and provide post-operative care.
• Assist with various surgical procedures, primarily in Orthopedic and Neurosurgery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to established safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
• Strong orthopedic experience is essential.
• Experience in circulating and scrubbing for surgeries.
• Ability to take call and respond within 30 minutes.
