12-hour night shift. Must be flexible with scheduling, including a minimum of every other weekend.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse for our ICU Float Pool. The selected candidate will float within various units within the central pool ICU and must be willing to take on a flexible schedule to meet the demands of patient care. Experience in a large teaching facility is essential, along with a character of resilience and dedication to teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients across various ICU units.
- Demonstrate hemodynamic device expertise in patient management.
- Maintain effective communication with interdisciplinary team members.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality regulations within the ICU settings.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required.
- NIHSS certification required prior to start.
- CCRN certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a large (500+ bed count) teaching facility.
- Experience with patients post cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma, general surgery, neurosurgery, and overflow MICU.
- Proficient with EPIC electronic medical record system from within the past 2 years.
