Occupational Therapist - Inpatient

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist facilitates the development and rehabilitation of physically disabled persons, maximizing the functional status of hospitalized patients. The role includes evaluating, planning, implementing, and modifying age-appropriate treatment programs, participating in discharge planning, performing administrative duties, engaging in performance improvement initiatives, pursuing professional growth, and undertaking other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients' needs to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement and modify treatment programs based on patient progress and feedback.
• Participate in discharge planning and ensure a smooth transition for patients.
• Perform administrative duties related to patient care and documentation.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
• Pursue continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Schedule

This position offers a schedule of Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related occupational therapy role.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or higher.
• Current Occupational Therapy license in Arizona.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
