Registered Nurse - Trauma Cardiovascular Stroke and Neuro

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00, averaging 36 hours per week.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a Trauma Cardiovascular Stroke and Neuro unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in critical care nursing and be equipped to handle complex patient needs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Trauma Cardiovascular Stroke and Neuro unit.
• Monitor patient status and implement appropriate medical interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on health management and recovery processes.
• Utilize EPIC for patient charting and documentation.
• Float within the scope of practice as needed to meet facility needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Preferred minimum of 3 years of experience in a critical care setting; 2+ years may be considered with strong experience.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:2 on nights.
• Strong exposure to trauma, cardiovascular, and stroke management.
• Epic charting experience is necessary.
