This position offers flexible scheduling options, with either 4 ten-hour shifts or 3 twelve-hour shifts per week. Participation in weekend rotation and on-call schedule is required, including one weekend call day and one weekend scheduled shift per four-week schedule.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Preoperative Care team in a surgical center setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in surgical care and the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage preoperative care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Provide thorough preoperative assessments and patient education regarding the surgical process.
- Administer IV therapies and medications as needed.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
- Scrub for surgeries and assist in operating room procedures as required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current and unexpired Registered Nurse license.
- BLS certification required.
- IV skills and surgical care experience, including scrubbing.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records; experience with Sunrise and EPIC preferred.
