Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery provides comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum. This role requires skilled nursing professionals to support expectant mothers through high-risk deliveries, manage newborn care, and ensure the safety and well-being of both mothers and infants.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to patients in labor and delivery, including assessments, medications, and interventions.
Assist with cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries.
Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs, responding to any abnormalities.
Educate and support mothers regarding postpartum care and newborn care.
Administer intravenous medication and manage epidural anesthesia.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in Labor & Delivery.
Current ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRPS certifications required.
Experience with Epic charting system is necessary.
Charge experience is preferred.
