Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a BSN or higher from an accredited nursing school and be licensed to practice as an RN in New York State or by reciprocity. A minimum of three years of ICU experience is preferred. The position requires certifications in ACLS, BCLS, and PALS, with an emphasis on managing complex cases in a critical care environment. Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, is essential.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage patients with EVD and multiple medication drips.
- Care for trauma patients of varying severities.
- Conduct assessments utilizing CAM, CPOT, and RASS.
- Administer treatments for hypothermia and manage pleurevac chest tube drainage.
- Observe strict isolation precautions, including hand hygiene protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- RN License to practice in New York State.
- Minimum of three years of ICU nursing experience.
- Certifications: AHA BCLS, ACLS, PALS required; CCRN and TNCC preferred.
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records.
- De-escalation certification required.
- Must work every other weekend and holiday.
