Job Description
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide critical care services in a fast-paced environment, working with a diverse patient population ranging from newborns to geriatric patients. The nurse will be responsible for performing assessments, implementing care plans, and providing emergency interventions as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and triage using the ESI scale.
- Administer medications and manage drips/infusions.
- Perform EKGs and various emergency procedures.
- Provide care in critical situations requiring quick decision-making.
- Transport patients as necessary, ensuring continuity of care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an Emergency Department.
- Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment.
- Current certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS or ENPC, NRP, TNCC, and NIHSS.
- Epic experience within the last 2 years is required.
- Charge nurse experience is highly preferred.
