Registered Nurse - Adaptive Acuity Unit (Nights)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12-hour nights) with a 36-hour weekly guarantee.

Job Description

This is an Adaptive Acuity Unit where travelers may be asked to provide Progressive Care Unit (PCU) care at a 3:1 patient ratio. Drip experience is required, including insulin, esmolol, and sodium drips. Charge experience is mandatory for this position, and travelers should be willing to float to any inpatient unit within their scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for up to 5 patients on the unit.
• Administer medication drips as needed.
• Assume charge nurse duties as required.
• Maintain effective communication with the care team and patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of current Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience.
• Charge experience is required.
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience is strongly required.
• Required drip experience: insulin, esmolol, and sodium.
• ICU experience is preferred.
• Minimum 3 months of previous travel experience is required.
• Vermont RN License or Compact must be provided.
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
