Schedule

7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, rotating weekends and holidays as per unit policy.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to patients experiencing various medical emergencies, ensuring swift and effective treatment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients with various conditions including trauma, cardiac emergencies, and pediatric cases.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform thorough patient assessments to determine the severity of conditions and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to stabilize and transport critically ill or injured patients when necessary.
• Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatments using Meditech.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures.
• Float to other departments as needed, adhering to the floating policy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
• Experience with Meditech is preferred.
