Registered Nurse - PACU / PAA

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Available shifts include: 6 AM - 6 PM, every other weekend, holidays, with call requirements based on unit needs or 9 AM - 9 PM, every other weekend, holidays, with call requirements based on unit needs.

Job Description

We are seeking a professional caregiver who plans, provides, and directs patient care and education, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders. The Registered Nurse will act as a liaison between physicians, patients, and families, collaborating with other healthcare members to ensure comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessment of patients according to established standards.
• Establish a collaborative plan of care based on assessment data in conjunction with involved disciplines.
• Implement and evaluate the plan of care based on identified patient goals and modify when necessary.
• Complete all documentation according to established standards and utilize documentation tools appropriately.
• Assess the readiness of patients and significant others to learn and implement individualized education plans.
• Participate in nursing department initiatives, including in-service opportunities or committee participation.
• Provide age-appropriate care for specific populations served as detailed by the organization.
• Adhere to established policies, procedures, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
• CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Previous experience in the specific nursing area preferred.
