Outpatient Physical Therapist - 6 Month Contract

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients, developing and modifying treatment plans according to patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role ensures the design of functional treatment programs, promotes patient and employee safety, and serves as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers. The therapist is expected to adhere to professional standards and the organizational Code of Conduct while demonstrating a commitment to safety and performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records accurately and timely, including goal writing and charge entry.
• Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and in compliance with insurance approvals.
• Participate in student training programs, providing supervision and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Actively pursue professional development and continuing education opportunities.
• Maintain professional licensure in good standing and adhere to ethical professional conduct.
• Understand and implement organizational performance improvement methodologies.

Schedule

This position operates on a 5x8 schedule, with 60-minute evaluations and follow-up appointments every 30 minutes. The contract is expected to start on October 19th and is desired for a length of 6 months.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Desire for a 6-month contract is highly desired.
