Night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with every other weekend required (6 weekend shifts per 13-week contract).

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide exceptional care for patients requiring respiratory support. The ideal candidate will have experience in adult critical care, emergency departments, and long-term care settings. This position requires a proactive approach in managing ventilation and respiratory treatments, as well as the ability to float between long-term care and acute care facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and manage ventilator care for patients.
• Conduct intubations and extubations, and provide airway management.
• Administer and monitor therapies, including BiPAP and CPAP.
• Participate in patient assessments and medication administration.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and alarms.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Current BLS and RRT certifications required.
• Active New York State license required prior to submission.
• Experience with the Epic charting system is preferred.
• Previous long-term acute care and trauma experience is advantageous.
