Professional RN Team Lead

Job Description

The Professional RN Team Lead is responsible for overseeing time management, critical thinking, delegation, and prioritization in patient care. This role involves direct patient care, including assessment, monitoring, recording, and reporting of patients' conditions. The RN Team Lead will collaborate with the care team, participate in interdisciplinary care, and advocate for patients, while also being prepared to assist in an LPN Med Cart position as needed.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate effective time management, critical thinking, delegation, and prioritization in patient care.
• Conduct assessments, monitor changes, record, and report on patients' conditions.
• Advocate for patients and practice ethically and professionally within the scope of the role.
• Promote evidence-based practices related to patient care.
• Maintain clinical competence in the designated care area, including required education.
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team and communicate effectively.
• Document thoroughly and appropriately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Participate in unit councils and staff meetings.

Schedule

This role requires a schedule of 40 hours per week, with shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, including every other weekend and every other holiday.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform necessary physical tasks associated with nursing duties.
• Completion of clinical competencies, educational requirements, and health documentation as required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
