Physical Therapist

Schedule

Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction. The role involves delegation and direction of therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring effective return to community activities through the design of functional treatment programs. The therapist also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers while adhering to the organization’s Mission Statement and Core Values.

Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
  • Utilize clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans and goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address barriers to discharge.
  • Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions effectively.
  • Document medical records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure care follows signed physician orders and insurance approval.
  • Participate in student supervision and development.
  • Engage in professional growth through continuing education and community advocacy.
  • Maintain professional licensure in good standing and comply with state requirements.
  • Be proactive in patient and employee safety practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
  • Valid, current State license as a Physical Therapist.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
