This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

5x8.0 schedule, Monday to Friday, primarily from 7 am to 3:30 pm. No call and no holidays, with possible flexibility for 4x10s or 4x9s.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality radiographic imaging while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Verify patients' identity and review physician orders before starting procedures.
• Utilize x-ray equipment to produce radiographic images as per physician orders.
• Explain x-ray procedures to patients and address their inquiries.
• Position patients properly, assisting those with limited mobility.
• Ensure safe operation of radiologic equipment, maintaining minimal dose exposure.
• Observe patients' status, catering to age-specific needs.
• Produce diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation.
• Notify management of any equipment malfunctions or damages.
• Utilize electronic systems for patient information verification.
• Maintain thorough patient records and accurately file images in the PACS system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Completion of formal training in an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Active certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Valid New York State (NYS) license or ability to obtain prior to starting.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as an X-Ray Technologist.
• Current BLS certification (AHA only).
• Experience using c-arm/o-arm within the past 8 months is preferred.
