Job Description
Join our dynamic and fast-paced cardiac and stroke unit where you will provide essential care for patients requiring pre and post-procedure management, particularly for cardiac interventions. As a Registered Nurse, you will engage with a diverse patient population, managing critical telemetry and administering various cardiac drips.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor cardiac telemetry patients.
- Provide pre and post-operative care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
- Administer medications, including cardiac drips while ensuring patient safety.
- Conduct assessments and maintain up-to-date patient care documentation using Epic.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Floating to other units as necessary based on patient needs.
- Participate in admission and discharge processes with the support of a team lead.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a challenging nursing environment, particularly within a cardiac or telemetry unit.
- Current RN license required (Compact or NC license accepted).
- Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS.
- Experience with IV start, telemetry management, and administering cardiac drips.
