Job Description
The organization is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to provide essential care for patients in a residential facility. The commitment focuses on aiding individuals in achieving lasting sobriety through holistic care and compassionate support.
Responsibilities
- Complete admission procedures, including paperwork and individual orientation.
- Monitor urinalysis collection and appropriately manage personal belongings of individuals upon admission.
- Administer and read tuberculosis skin tests.
- Document nursing assessments, treatment plans, physician's orders, progress notes, and other relevant data in individuals' charts.
- Provide direct care to the individuals served.
- Monitor for signs and symptoms of intoxication and withdrawal.
- Provide medically monitored evaluation and withdrawal management in the Detoxification Unit under nursing supervision.
- Maintain a hygienic and safe work environment in compliance with healthcare protocols.
- Administer medications as ordered and keep accurate medication records.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that address medical issues.
- Provide emotional support through listening and counseling.
- Collaborate with staff and outside professionals to ensure comprehensive and quality care.
- Maintain professional boundaries while interacting appropriately with clients.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- 1+ Year of Medication Administration Experience - Required
- Experience with CIWA (Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment) / COWS (Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale) - Required
- Opioid Addiction Center Experience - Highly Preferred
- BLS Certification - Required
- Skills Checklist - Required
- Two Supervisory Reference Forms - Required
- Georgia State Licensure - Required
