Emergency Department Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) with a 36/48H option. Every other weekend and holidays required as scheduled.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) will provide care to patients of all age ranges in a fast-paced setting. The RN will manage complex diagnoses and must have strong clinical skills to excel in this role.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients presenting with a variety of conditions.
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapy.
• Perform various patient care procedures, including intubation and managing ventilated patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Triage patients efficiently based on urgency and patient needs.
• Support patients and their families during critical situations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Emergency Department required; 2 years preferred.
• Active RN license in the state of Maryland or compact license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
