Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Adult Psychiatric team. The RN will work with adults aged 18 and over, managing complex diagnoses including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depression in a structured, psychiatric environment. The role requires proficiency in patient care, de-escalation techniques, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult psychiatric patients.
• Administer medications and perform assessments.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques and support patient safety.
• Document patient interactions and care in charting systems.
• Collaborate with mental health professionals for holistic patient care.
• Participate in safety checks and patient rounds.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in psychiatric nursing.
• At least 6 months of prior medical experience (MS, MS-Tele, PCU, ICU, ER).
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred (training available on-site).
• BSN preferred, but not required.
