Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. The role emphasizes the importance of patient and employee safety, adhering to all operational guidelines and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient assessments and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Provide timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and education initiatives.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Ensure continuity of care by communicating patient status across care providers.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel.
• Promote a safe work environment adhering to safety policies and procedures.
• Contribute positively to unit dynamics and team-building activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license required.
• BLS certification is required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification is required prior to the first shift for CIRH only.
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

Schedule

This is a night shift position with 3x12.0 hour shifts.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
