Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Schedule

Full-time schedule of 5 days a week, from 0645 to 1515, including weekends, call, and late requirements. If called in, the healthcare provider must be able to arrive within 30 minutes.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

A professional caregiver who plans, provides, and directs patient care and education, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders. This role involves conducting assessments, establishing collaborative care plans, and ensuring effective communication with patients and families while working alongside other healthcare members.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments of patients.
• Establish collaborative plans of care based on assessment data.
• Implement and evaluate the plan of care according to patient goals and outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions per established standards.
• Assess patient readiness to learn and develop individualized education plans.
• Participate actively in departmental initiatives and provide in-service opportunities.
• Provide age-appropriate care for the specific population served.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, regulatory, and accreditation standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current Ohio RN licensure.
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience in the operating room.
• Travel experience required.
• Completion of approximately 70 Net Learning modules and passing rates on ECG/Medication exam required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
