Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a competent Registered Nurse (RN) who practices independently in a clinical setting. The RN will provide routine and complex care while managing various clinical situations. This position emphasizes the advancement of nursing skills and coping strategies, making appropriate assignments and delegating duties to other care providers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication administered, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• At least one year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required.
• Current RN license in Texas or compact state.
• All newly hired experienced RNs must attend orientation within the first 30 days of hire.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a night shift schedule from 6 PM to 6 AM.
