Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. The therapist is responsible for delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients. This role ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities, serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers, and upholds compliance with organizational policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients towards discharge.
• Document patient interactions clearly, accurately, and timely in compliance with relevant guidelines.
• Provide therapy services under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance parameters.
• Participate in student programs by providing supervision and evaluations.
• Develop and pursue an individualized professional development plan.
• Maintain professional licensure and adhere to the State Practice Act and other regulatory requirements.
• Engage in organizational performance improvement initiatives and feedback mechanisms.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Outpatient experience preferred.
• CPR Certification required.
• Active and applicable state license for Physical Therapy.
• 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience required.
