Job Description
The Registered Nurse will be working in the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include providing care to all assigned patients, including pediatric and adult populations. The unit consists of 64 beds with a variety of patient diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, and cardiac arrest. Floating between various roles within the unit may be required. Charge capability is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administer emergency care to patients as per protocols.
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
- Manage multiple patient conditions including trauma, respiratory failure, and cardiac events.
- Provide support for patients of all ages, including neonates and geriatrics.
- Participate in code situations and manage critical interventions.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department with some pediatric experience. Travel experience is required.
Certifications / Licensure
- Current New York Registered Nurse License.
- AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications are required.
- NURSYS report for license verification must be provided.
