ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (Day Shift) in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Guaranteed 32 hours per week, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM, with varied start times. Candidates will work alternate weeks of 32 hours and 36 hours.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population including adults and pediatrics in an Emergency Department setting. This role involves emergency care, telemetry monitoring, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Evaluate patients' needs, plan, implement, and assess care plans.
• Administer medications and perform procedures as required.
• Read and interpret telemetry rhythms with high accuracy.
• Document patient care activities in the Epic charting system.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting with both adult and pediatric care.
• Travel experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Valid New York State RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Must pass an EKG proficiency exam with a minimum of 80% accuracy to ensure competency in rhythm identification.
