This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
3 x 12 hour shifts, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. 3 out of 6 holidays required, every other weekend required.
Job Description
Our Emergency Department (ED) RNs must be ready to care for patients in critical situations, providing specialized and innovative services. The ideal candidates will be equipped to handle a wide range of emergency situations across all ages, requiring quick and decisive actions. ED nurses are trained in dealing with various trauma situations and must be able to quickly and accurately assess incoming patients with both physical and mental health conditions while prioritizing their medical needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care in emergency situations for patients of all ages.
- Assess incoming patients and determine priority levels for treatment.
- Administer nursing care plans based on clinical knowledge and analytical abilities.
- Effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
Required Experience
Must have a minimum of 18 months of Nursing experience working in an ED environment, with recent ED experience within the past six months.
Certifications/Licensure
- New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
- BLS - AHA.
- ACLS.
- Telemetry.
- PALS.
- NIHSS.
- CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours.
