Schedule/Shift

Schedule: 3x12 hours, from 18:45 to 07:15. Weekend coverage is required - 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks. Call is not required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Cardiac Telemetry will care for patients with diagnoses such as atrial fibrillation, heart failure, coronary artery disease, and other cardiac conditions. The RN will use specialized equipment including telemetry systems and will be involved in post-operative care for cardiac surgeries and electrophysiology procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient vital signs and telemetry readings.
• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips.
• Perform sheath management and removal.
• Provide post-operative care for cardiac and thoracic patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care.

Required Experience

• 2 years of cardiac nursing experience required.
• Experience in medical-surgical, telemetry, or step down units preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Current RN license in North Carolina or a compact state required.
