Schedule/Shift

This position requires a 4x12 hour night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatric patients. This role requires proficiency in monitoring telemetry and a range of Med/Surg skills. You will work within a collaborative healthcare team supported by Epic for charting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6-7, ensuring quality patient care and safety.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Monitor vital signs and manage telemetry for all patients eligible for monitoring.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Respond to rapid response and code situations as necessary.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management.

Required Experience

• Two years of nursing experience in a Med-Surg or MS/Tele setting preferred.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred.
