3 twelve-hour shifts per week, with 2 weekends per 4-week schedule.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit at Skyline Medical Center will provide compassionate and attentive care to patients. The unit has a total of 34 beds and maintains a patient ratio of 6:1, ensuring personalized attention and effective care delivery.
This role will involve utilizing advanced medical equipment such as IV Pumps, Telemetry, and Continuous Pulse Ox Machines, among others. Documentation will be managed through the Meditech system.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care with a focus on compassion and personal connection.
- Engage in bedside shift reporting and include patients and their families in care planning.
- Prioritize and multitask effectively in a high-paced environment.
- Perform basic nursing skills including starting IVs, wound care, and managing surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes.
Required Experience
- Previous experience in Med/Surg nursing is essential.
- Ability to handle a busy patient load while providing quality care.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active RN license is required.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
