This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
Shifts are 7A-7P, with a requirement of every other weekend. Options for 36 or 48 hours per week are available, with overtime after 48 hours.
Job Description
The 7 South MS/Tele unit features 37 beds and serves a diverse adult patient population with varying degrees of illness, from uncomplicated to sub-critical. This includes post-op transplant patients and any adult patient requiring cardiac monitoring. Each bed is equipped for monitoring, and the daily census typically averages around 32 patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to adult patients requiring monitoring and support in a telemetry setting.
- Administer medications and perform clinical procedures as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize Cerner for documentation and patient management.
- Monitor patient status and report any significant changes to the medical team.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required.
- At least 1+ years of in-specialty experience in a similar unit.
Certifications/Licensure
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- WV or Compact RN License required; pending license accepted for submission.
